About Daniel Michael Newland

Daniel Michael Newland is the artist pioneering digital cubism, a contemporary evolution of Cubism built with digital and algorithmic tools instead of paint. He works in fractured planes, bold line, and layered form, exploring identity, power, and systems, from his studio in Palm Springs, California.

The Practice

Every work is an original. Some pieces begin digitally, some begin analog, and many cross that border before they are finished. Influences span urban geometry, queer identity and lived experience, and the way technology rewires how we see ourselves. Each is offered as a museum-quality print on canvas, metal, or acrylic, or as an instant digital download.

Art in Motion

Filmmaking began as a way to give the artwork another life, setting finished collections in motion through imagery, music, and rhythm. Watch the films.
